EM 522 - Theory of Elasticity

Analysis of stress and strain; equilibrium and compatibility equations; Hooke’s law; fundamental problems in the theory of elasticity; plane-stress and plane-strain problems of the narrow beam, rotating discs and a plate with a circular hole. Pre-requisite:  EM 321, MATH 331 or equivalent. Credits: 3
