EE 536 - Applied Photovoltaics

Fundamentals of hybrid photovoltaic power systems.  Topics may include: an overview of energy and electricity use; solar resource characteristics; load assessment; the fundamentals of solar cells, batteries, power electronics, and generators and other power sources; power system design; the National Electric Code; and energy economics.  Co-requisite:  EE 536L. Credits: 3
