CHEM 127 - Honors Organic Chemistry I

Credits: 3
A continuation of CHEM 115 which introduces the chemistry of carbon containing compounds. Topics covered include: nomenclature, functional group analysis, stereochemistry, acid/base chemistry, organic chemistry reactions, mechanistic explanation of electron movement, and thermochemistry of organic reactions. Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Honors College students only. CHEM 326 may not be substituted for CHEM 127 unless explicitly allowed by the department head. Prerequisites: CHEM 115.Corequisites: CHEM 127L.
