BIOS 662 - Advanced Molecular and Cellular Biology

This course will provide cutting-edge, comprehensive knowledge in molecular and cellular biology and pave a solid foundation for graduate students as they develop and conduct thesis and dissertation research. It will give students a perspective both on what is known and unknown about cellular structures, organization and their functions, cell chemistry and biosynthesis, genetic mechanisms, and cells in their social context. There are no prerequisites for this course, although undergraduate courses in genetics and cell biology are recommended.Credits: 6
