Program Information

The Power Systems Engineering graduate certificate provides focused preparation in the analysis, design, operation, and control of electric power systems. Students learn core concepts in power system modeling, protection, stability, and smart‑grid technologies that integrate power, computer, and communication systems.

Power systems engineers play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and resiliency of the electric grid. As utilities modernize and incorporate renewable energy, advanced controls, and increased electrification, demand for engineers with specialized power systems expertise continues to grow.
