Program Description
The Botany minor crosses many disciplines, as plants are the base of the energy web within the natural environment. The program’s flexible curriculum is adaptable for all students in the natural sciences, and is especially useful to students with interests in ecology, range science, and wildlife and fisheries sciences.

Academic Requirements
A minimum GPA of 2.0 is required for all courses in the minor.

Course Delivery Format
The program’s courses are offered on campus in lecture, laboratory, and field-based settings.

Requirements for Botany Minor: 18 Credits


Required Biology Course: 3-4

Selective Electives: 14-15

At least two botany courses must be upper-division, 300 level or above

No more than 3 credits of may come from the following upper-division botany courses

Additional elective credits may come from the following range courses
