The South Dakota State University Graduate School advances post-baccalaureate education to meet the economic, technological, and societal needs of South Dakota, the region, and beyond. The Graduate School supports graduate student success and fosters innovation in advanced education, research, and creative activity.
The Graduate School is an administrative unit that (1) supports graduate student recruitment, success, and retention, (2) applies graduate program admission standards, and (3) defines academic policies relating to graduate programs. The Graduate School assists degree programs in seeking academic excellence through the enhancement of graduate student research and creative activity, the promotion of opportunity among the graduate student body and graduate faculty. The Graduate School serves as a resource for the exploration, planning, and implementation of graduate programs across SDSU’s academic units.
