AHSS 702 - Writing for the Social Sciences Credits: 3
This course will use a combination of discussion, workshops, and individualized instruction to introduce graduate students in the Social Sciences to the purposes and practices of academic writing. Students will strengthen their skills in higher-level reading and writing through critical examination of writing across a variety of academic genres and ongoing feedback and revision throughout the course. The course will culminate in students’ completion of a substantial writing project relevant to their progress in the program
