A one-semester survey of chemistry. Not intended for those needing an extensive chemistry background. Introduction to the properties of matter, atomic structure, bonding, stoichiometry, kinetics, equilibrium, states of matter, solutions, and acid-base concepts. Laboratory designed to accompany CHEM 106. Prerequisites: 1 collegiate math course (MATH 095, MATH 101, MATH 103, MATH 104, MATH 114, MATH 115, MATH 120, MATH 121, MATH 123, MATH 125 or STAT 281) or appropriate placement based on standardized testing in math. Corequisites: CHEM 106L-106. Notes: Course meets SGR #6.
