ECE 362-362L - Early Childhood Curriculum and Assessment and Lab

Credits: 2, 1
This course will focus on curriculum models and assessment protocols that have evolved from historical and theoretical perspectives. Rules and regulations, ethical standards, as well as principles of developmentally appropriate curriculum and assessment practices, that are inclusive for all children from ages three to eight, will be practiced. An emphasis will be placed on inquiry-based practices and multicultural perspectives, and connection between curriculum and assessment will be learned. Prerequisites: Admission to PS I, HDFS 227 . Corequisites: ECE 328-328L , ECE 361-361L , and ECE 363-363L . Notes: Students enrolled in ECE prior to Fall 2012 will enroll in the course will take the course as ECE 362-362L - Early Childhood Education Curriculum and Lab.
