AS 420-420L - Equine Reproductive Management and Lab

Study of the reproductive systems of the mare and stallion, including detailed anatomy and physiology, and behavior of each gender. Practicums at the SDSU Horse Unit include foaling procedures, stallion handling and semen evaluation, mare handling, breeding preparation, cycle monitoring and other advanced reproductive techniques. Prerequisites: AS 220 or AS 365. Corequisites: AS 420L-420.
