NURS 323 - Introduction to PathophysiologyCredits: 3 This course covers topics which will provide a current understanding of the major disease processes across the lifespan. The course will lay the foundation for the study of pharmacological mechanisms of action of drugs and their rational clinical use. Of interest will be the linkage of relevant modern biology to the different disease states, attention to gender differences, especially regarding epidemiology and pathological changes, and the integration of health promotion and disease prevention, by emphasizing risk factors, nutritional requirements, and other relevant therapeutic practices. Prerequisites: 3rd year Pharmacy standing or Nursing major; BIOL 325
