Choral and Instrumental Emphasis:

The Secondary Teacher Education program is structured around the three components of General Studies (meeting university core requirements), Specialty Studies (meeting major content requirements), and Professional Studies. Professional Studies has three professional semesters which directly prepare students for the profession of teaching. The Education curriculum below is unique to Music Education. Please contact the Department of Teaching, Learning, and Leadership for information about other education programs, or the program coordinators information on Agricultural Education, Family and Consumer Sciences Education, and Physical Education as these programs differ significantly from other content areas.
