PHA 774 - Ambulatory Care I Practice Experience Credits: 5
This pharmacy practice experience is designed to teach the student fundamental patient care skills in an outpatient practice environment. Direct patient involvement is emphasized with students being expected to obtain patient histories, conduct appropriate physical assessments, interpret and apply laboratory parameters, provide patient education, follow-up on assigned patients, advise other healthcare providers on the clinical use of drugs, and, overall, participate as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
