POLS 434 - Interest Groups and Lobbying (COM) Credits: 3 This course explores interest group politics and lobbying tactics used in the executive, legislative, and judicial branches of government. Course assignments are directed at developing advocacy-related research, writing, and communication skills that result in persuasive and effective lobbying materials and meetings. Students will frequently participate in lobbying meeting simulations that involve creating and presenting lobbying materials and serving as lobbyists or government officials and employees.
