PS 412 - Environmental Soil Chemistry Credits: 3 Fundamentals of soil chemical properties and processes important for the sound management of soil resources. Topics include sorption/desorption of inorganic and organic compounds, bioavailability of nutrients and contaminants, oxidation/reduction, phase equilibria, soil organic matter, soil mineralogy, ion exchange, and saline/sodic soils.
Prerequisites: PS 213 and CHEM 108 or CHEM 120 .
