CHRD 741 - Crisis Counseling

This course requires students to consider crises from their perspective as an individual enrolled in: (1) Clinical Mental Health Counseling, (2) Marriage and Family Counseling, (3) Rehabilitation Counseling, (4) School Counseling, and (5) College Counseling. A primary focus of this course is on application of course material including experiential crisis activities. Additionally, the course will provide an examination of diverse crisis situations and the assessment and treatment strategies used by counselors to assist individuals, groups and organizations to manage and resolve those crises.
