MICR 523 - Introductory Immunology Laboratory


An introduction to important laboratory techniques in immunology, including principles of immunoassays, immunofluorescence, ELISA, Western Blotting, and functional assays of immune function. Through the use of experimental procedures, will illustrate basic concepts of immunology. A major proportion of the laboratory time will be taken to focus on practical aspects of currently used immunological assays (focusing onthe use of antibodies in the diagnostic laboratory).
