GEOG 420-520 - Geography of TourismCredits: 3 Based on fundamental tourism principles, this course will examine, from a geographical perspective, the social, cultural, environmental and economic complexities associated with tourism as a global, national and local phenomenon. This course will also consider the positive and negative factors that affect tourists and destinations, and the costs and benefits of tourism to communities and places, providing case-study examples from the United States and around the world.
