GEOG 743 - Geospatial Analysis This course covers concepts and methods of spatial data analysis, focusing on the analysis of broad-scale geographic datasets characterizing physical, biological, and socioeconomic landscape features. Students learn to develop scientific hypotheses about spatial relationships, and to test these hypotheses using appropriate spatial datasets and analytical techniques. Topics include exploratory data analysis, methods for quantifying spatial pattern, development of explanatory models to test spatial hypotheses, and development of predictive models for spatial interpolation.
