BIOS 663 - Advanced Concepts in Infectious Disease This course will provide cutting-edge, comprehensive knowledge in molecular and cellular pathogenesis and the immune response. It will give a perspective both on what is known and current research in the areas of general pathology, immunology, virology, and bacteriology. The course will cover the importance of host-pathogen interactions in infectious disease, which will serve as the basis for further study within more specialized topics in higher-level courses. Prerequisites: Pre-requisite: BIOS 662; students with no background in infectious disease should enroll in undergraduate Immunology, Virology, or Medical Microbiology prior to taking this course. Credits: 6
